Consultation closes Friday 25 July at 5pm.

Project information

Council is seeking your input on a proposal to introduce a 4.5T load limit on the following streets in Roseville:

  • Clanville Road
  • Lord Street between Glencroft Avenue and Archbold Road
  • Earl Street
  • Moore Street between Earl Street and Park Avenue

The proposed changes can be seen in the concept plan below.

Background

Traffic counters have recently been installed in the above streets, which showed that a high proportion of heavy vehicles are using these local roads.  It would indicate that heavy vehicle drivers are using these streets as a short-cut to avoid using Boundary Street.

Proposed changes

It is proposed that a 4.5T load limit be introduced on the abovementioned streets in Roseville.  Buses will still be permitted to use these streets, if it is part of an official bus route.  Heavy vehicles are also permitted to use these streets if their intended destination lies within these streets.  Therefore, the proposed changes would not impact deliveries to local residents or businesses.
