- Sunset Concert Series": Free or low-cost concerts featuring local bands (School; Brass, Marching; classical ensembles, jazz groups, or world music.
- St Ives Showgrounds: Car Shows, Equestrian events, Woodchopping Competition, Silent Disco Cinema Viewers wear headphones for the movie's audio.
- Village precincts (Nth, Sth. & Turramurra, West Pymble, Gordon, Lindfield, Wahroonga etc. – Lantern Festivals / Light Installations / Christmas Lights
- Family Bike Rides - encouraging participants to decorate bikes with lights and do a set circuit (s) at night.
- Picnic & Film: In a park, encourage BYO picnics or have local food vendors. Add pre-show entertainment like live music or local talent shows.
- Golden Jubilee Field - "Dark Skies" Stargazing & Astronomy Events – Partner with local astronomy groups or universities (e.g., Macquarie University)
- Night activity at Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden with local Indigenous group for guided walks sharing local Dreamtime stories or cultural insights.
