Council is planning to upgrade the existing playground at Roseville Park. This playground is catergorised as a district park playspace. District Parks have features that attract people from outside the immediate neighbourhood which include unique landscape character or large areas of open space for recreation. The current playground is in need of an upgrade to improve access and opportunities for play.

Project Aim
Our goal is to create an attractive, engaging, and inclusive play space that everyone can enjoy. It will be a place to meet, relax, play, and take part in activities that promote health and well‐being which will support the local neighbourhood and the growing residential community.
Features may include:
- A variety of play opportunities;
- Improved accessibility for users of all ages and abilities;
- Installation of park furniture, bin, bubbler,seats and tables;
- A circuit track for children to ride bicycles and scooters;
- Potential for adventure play activities;
- Increased planted areas and natural play elements.
Community input
Council is undertaking a 2 phase process of community engagement to ensure the new design meets the needs and expectations of the local community:
Phase 1 - Ideas gathering (May 2025)
Seeking community input about the existing playground, how it is used and gathering ideas for the future upgrade. The outcome will inform development of the concept design.
Phase 2 - Consulting on the concept plan (late 2025/early 2026)
The concept plan, developed using feedback from Phase 1 engagement will be exhibited for public comment. Community input will assist finalise the concept design.
